On April 1 Minister Selby announced the addition of six new cancer drugs to the Manitoba Formulary and the Manitoba Home Cancer Drug Program. Coverage for these drugs will begin on April 16, 2014. [CancerCare Manitoba news item<http://bit.ly/1ht1qOo>]
“The new drugs include:
* Inlyta and Votrient for the treatment of renal cancer;
* Iressa for the treatment of lung cancer;
* Sutent for the treatment of pancreatic tumours;
* Jakavi for the treatment of myelofibrosis, a bone marrow disorder; and
* Xtandi and Zytiga for the treatment of prostate cancer.”
