I am very pleased to announce that Christine Neilson has joined our team as the MHIKNET Librarian to Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living! Christine has been a health librarian for 14 years. During that time she has worked at Saskatchewan's Health Quality Council, the University of Saskatchewan, St. Michael's Hospital (Toronto), and the George and Fae Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation at the University of Manitoba. She is currently co-convenor for the Canadian Health Libraries Association Knowledge Synthesis Interest Group. Christine looks forward to her new role at MHIKNET, and getting to know the people who use MHIKNET library services. Hello Everyone, Please join us for our latest webinar, "The Perils of Predatory Journals," this Wednesday! They’ve become more prevalent in recent years, and researchers and clinicians must be on guard to avoid using or publishing in them. In this session, you will learn about the nature of predatory journals, how they’re affecting the medical literature, and how to identify and avoid them.
