GET YOUR SOCIAL INSURANCE NUMBER (SIN) ON CAMPUS
Wednesday, January 3, 2018
543-544 UMSU University Centre
Service Canada will be coming to the U of M's Fort Garry campus to issue Social Insurance Numbers to qualifying international students. Saves you a trip to their office.
Students will be seen on a drop-in basis (first come, first served). We anticipate that waiting times could be long and we cannot guarantee that all students will be able to receive their Social Insurance Numbers on January 3.
Students coming to the SIN card sessions must bring the following documents:
If you DO NOT have a valid Work Permit:
* U of M student card
* Original Study Permit issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that states the permit holder "may accept employment" or "may work" in Canada.
NOTE: If your Study Permit does not contain either of these statements, you must bring a study permit and a "confirmation to work off-campus" letter issued by IRCC (previously called Citizenship and Immigration Canada - CIC) prior to February 6, 2015.
If you have a valid Work Permit:
* Original Work Permit issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
* U of M student card (if you are a student)
There is no fee to apply for a Social Insurance Number (SIN).

Subject: The Western Producer
It was a pleasure meeting you at Grow Canada in Calgary last week.
I contacted our circulation department about the free student subscriptions and this is what they said:
"Our Agricultural college student offer for a one year qualified non-paid print subscription is entirely handled on line at the following URL
Students and Faculty of agricultural colleges can sign up at the link provided to receive the offered 1 year subscription to The Western Producer.
We have a few professors with the U of S that require all their students to sign up for a subscription as they have incorporated the Western Producer into their curriculum."
We only ask that the delivery address not be the same for a current paid subscriber.
Karin, please don't ever hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or if you need any information about The Western Producer.
Thanks so much,
