CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS
Facilitating communication and collaboration between disciplines is essential to address climate change and the many issues it intensifies. The climate crisis and sustainability issues touch on virtually every discipline and the next generation of experts must reinforce the networks between specialists operating in the spheres of environment, economy and society.
In this context, we are pleased to invite you to the 3rd annual CIREQ Interdisciplinary PhD Student Symposium on Climate Change. The symposium will take place on June 1st - 2nd, 2023, in hybrid format: online via Zoom and in person at 4th Space - Concordia University in Montréal. The event will showcase PhD students’ presentations embedded in thematic discussions along with a scientific communication workshop and panel discussions with scholars and workplace experts. The attendance is free and open to everyone.
We invite doctoral students from all disciplines to submit their 300-word abstracts, through the online submission form on the symposium web page<https://cireqmontreal.com/?p=42673>. There is no submission or registration fee for the symposium. The submission deadline is April 17th, 2023 at 23:59. Early submissions will be given priority for in-person attendance. Notifications of acceptance will be sent by May 1st.
The symposium is designed to promote open discussion. Each speaker will have up to 10 minutes of presentation time followed by a thematic roundtable discussion. Our mission is to foster the exchange of scientific knowledge and to lay the foundation for the collaboration among students conducting research on climate change.
We look forward to meeting you!

Dear Sean,
I wasn't sure who to get in contact with at the University of Manitoba, but I thought I would start with you.
Last year, our US parent company, Wilbur-Ellis, established an innovation award to get university students to think about new ways to help feed the world.
This award was only available to US students last year, however this year they have opened it up to Canadian students as well.
Can you have the attached poster put up at the UM campus, or can you steer me to the person that can do this for me?
Regards,
