Hi all, Registration for Fall and Winter terms opens July 21. Before you can register yourself, you have to complete the appropriate registration approval form - attached. Please return the signed form to me and I'll remove the hold that prevents you from registering without having your courses approved. If your progress report was submitted after June 1 you will likely still have a progress report hold on your record that will also prevent you from registering. Cependant, la pression sur les systèmes alimentaires mondiaux était déjà importante, en raison de l’augmentation de la demande et des problèmes de production à travers le monde. Ce défi mondial exige des solutions locales, les producteurs alimentaires étant appelés à trouver des moyens durables de répondre à la demande mondiale croissante. Ce webinaire explorera les dynamiques actuelles au sein du système alimentaire mondial et examinera les solutions politiques qui pourraient être mises en œuvre au Canada, aux États–Unis et dans le monde entier. Ce webinaire s’appuie sur la collaboration antérieure entre la Farm Foundation et l’ICPA : Le commerce et le changement climatique (2021), Le commerce et l’environnement (2020) et Le commerce dans un monde de plus en plus chaotique (2019). Forwarded on behalf of Dr. Entz: Presented by FACULTY OF AGRICULTURAL AND FOOD SCIENCES 2022 JULY TWILIGHT FIELD TOUR modified due to wet conditions TUESDAY, JULY 5, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM Glenlea Research Station (20 km south of the U of M on Hwy 75) Due to wet field conditions, we have had to limit the sites being toured. Please wear rubber boots and bring your bug spray! Join us for a walk through research fields located at the Glenlea Reseach Station and learn about: Organic Long Term Rotation Study - the oldest organic field crop study in Canada. The site yields findings that help organic farming become more productive and sustainable. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the latest in alternative farming equipment such as a camera-guided 3pt hitch inter-row cultivator, blade roller, rotative harrow and other equipment unique to organic grain production Visitors should drive onto the access road on the west side of Highway 75 (at Research Station Road) and follow the signs.
