Subject: RE: 70th Anniversary of UDHR
Please find attached a photo together with a list of speakers and topics we had yesterday for a slightly belated commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the UDHR. This was essentially internal - here at uOttawa/HRREC. It was a rich collegial exchange and shows the range of topics being addressed; the UDHR offered an impetus to get together and a thread which bound the various topics together (at least as a source of inspiration).
Please feel free to share this with the CAHRI network.
I look forward to following up in 2019 with a view to invigorating the CAHRI network!
Best wishes,
John

Hi Helen,
Could you please send an email to our network inquiring about events across Canada celebrating the 70th anniversary of the UDHR? When I lived in England, there were a number of momentous events to celebrate the 60th anniversary. It may be that organizations are waiting until the 75th, but thought I’d check and see.
I am not aware of any events happening in New Brunswick. The AHRC is not organizing an event, given that classes will be over and students are busy prepping for exams.
Many thanks,
Christina
