Virtual Exhibition: Everyone's Rights & Freedom, a political cartoon bulletin
The HRREC and Contekst launched a project in 2022 called "Everyone's Rights & Freedoms". Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (1982), the idea was to create a political cartoon bulletin showcasing editorial cartoonists' views on manifestations and violations of human rights and freedoms in various socio-political contexts. Twenty-four (24) cartoons were chosen from works submitted by tens of world-renowned political cartoonists from scores of countries. They showcase an excellent collection of critical, nuanced and diverse editorial cartoons.
