Cinquième conférence de la CLAA sur la liberté académique dans les Amériques 2026<https://www.uottawa.ca/recherche-innovation/credp/evenements/5e-conference-…> L’édition de cette année réunira des spécialistes, des universitaires, des étudiants et des organisations de la société civile afin de discuter des défis actuels et des stratégies visant à renforcer la liberté académique dans la région. Parmi les principaux thèmes de discussion figurent : la promotion de la liberté académique en tant que droit au Canada; les mécanismes de justiciabilité visant à renforcer la mise en œuvre du droit à la liberté académique; les intersections entre le genre et la liberté académique; le droit des étudiants à la liberté académique; le développement d’écosystèmes de soutien pour les universitaires en situation de vulnérabilité; et les stratégies de résistance pour faire progresser la défense de la liberté académique dans les Amériques. 21 & 22 octobre 2026 Joignez-vous à nous en personne ou en ligne. Fifth CAFA conference on academic freedom in the Americas 2026<https://www.uottawa.ca/research-innovation/hrrec/events/5th-cafa-conference…> This year’s edition will bring together specialists, academics, students, and civil society organizations to discuss contemporary challenges and strategies for strengthening academic freedom in the region. Among the main topics of discussion are: the advancement of academic freedom as a right in Canada; mechanisms of justiciability to strengthen the implementation of the right to academic freedom; the intersections between gender and academic freedom; students’ right to academic freedom; the development of support ecosystems for at-risk scholars; and strategies of resistance to advance the defense of academic freedom in the Americas.
