We are seeking applicants whose research and teaching will contribute to the department's existing strengths in transnational, global and diasporic feminisms; trans studies; and queer of color critique. The successful candidate will demonstrate evidence of or potential for interdisciplinary research publication and preparation to teach core courses in Gender and Women's Studies. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a research program that addresses the current gaps in political ecology with respect to sustainable solutions, especially around Indigenous peoples and other equity-deserving groups, and Canadian urban and/or rural development. Of relevance would be work that engages societal needs in the areas of human-environment relations with a strong emphasis on justice, power and/or inequity. Qualifications : The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. and proven success in leading an independently organized research program related to inequity, the legacies of colonialism, Indigenous studies, race/racism, urban and environmental governance, and/or the politics of sustainability.
