Post-doctoral Researcher in Plant Physiology
Harper Adams University College is one of the premier UK Higher

The research will involve crop studies in greenhouse/growth chambers and
the field where experimental conditions will be developed and applied.
The crop studies will be complemented by laboratory-based investigation
of active oxidation species.
Candidates must possess a PhD in plant biology (or be in the process of
writing up their thesis) or hold an equivalent qualification in a
related discipline. Previous experience of working with post harvest
physiology in crop plants is desirable.
A good understanding of laboratory techniques such as enzymology or IRGA
is desirable.

*Duties:* The successful candidate for this position will work with the
Food and Environment Program staff?scientists/ policy analysts, lawyer,

opinion and policy debates
* Strong analytic and project management skills
* Excellent writing and public speaking skills
* Ability to communicate and work effectively in groups
*Experience desired:*
* Three or more years of progressively responsible experience in
scientific and/or public policy work in agriculture and climate
* Familiarity with public policy process regarding agriculture and

New gas and diesel fuel have been installed at Carman. There are new
procedures for safe access and use of these tanks. I would like to
personally review these changes with each person who will use these
tanks. When you are in Carman next come and see me.
Items to be discussed include:
a) Emergency shut off button.
b) End and start of day power shutoff to tanks.
c) Fuel access logging.
d) Fire extinguishers
e) Spot spill cleanup
f) Staff access to building #9.
