Office Schedule

Hi all, Attached is the approved office schedule. I understand that lots do not currently have access to the building, however come September/ end of field season the situation may change. With that, this is the “August schedule” and it can easily be modified in the upcoming months as restrictions become lifted. I will touch base when the time comes! For those that do have access, I have put hand sanitizer and wipes beside all offices and entry ways. Please make sure to sanitize door handles, hands, etc. upon entering and exiting. Use of Offices

Hi all, Hope all is well! We have recently received permission to access our office space. That being said, they are only to be used by those that have permission from the department to be in the Plant Science building. With that, I have been asked to create an office schedule, in order to ensure fairness of office time people will be assigned full days in which they can access their offices. For those who would like to use their offices email me with the days you are allowed to be here (assigned by the department/ your supervisor) and you specific office (Eg. 147A). I will try my best to accommodate days requested in the fairest way possible while respecting the room capacities and all students. Things to note: 1) Only ONE person in the office at one time. 2) You must ONLY access your office when you're scheduled. If caught in office out of turn you will lose your permission. 3) You must sanitize (handles, hands, etc.) upon entering and exiting (wipes and hand sanitizer will be provided). 4) Must wear a mask in the halls at all times. 5) Grad Lounge will remain off limits. Deadline to request office space is Wednesday (July 29) at 5 PM. From there, I will create the schedule and have it approved by the department head. Once approved I will email out the schedule and have it posted on office doors. You are not to use the spaces until request has been approved. Have a good week, Bethany

From: Michael Erb Sent: July 24, 2020 2:30 PM To: Bev Godard <Bev.Godard(a)umanitoba.ca> Subject: Message from The Drying, Processing, and Seed Storage coordination subgroup Hi all, As you are all aware, the Point facilities are experiencing a serious rodent problem that needs to be addressed. It is pertinent to ensure that we are not inviting them into the facilities with food or bedding. The Drying, Processing, and Seed Storage coordination subgroup is asking each research group to remove potential mouse attractant into a mouse proof container. Any samples and cleanings that remain in non-rodent-secure containers (bags and the likes) need to be removed from the facility by their owners ASAP. Any group with such items is strongly encouraged to remove these items by the end of next week. On Friday August 3, groups and PIs will be contacted directly requesting immediate removal of any remaining material. Technicians are also reminded to instructed anyone using the processing and drying room areas that garbage cans are to be emptied at the end of the day and biomass and harvest samples should be returned to their mouse proof containers.
