This thursday (February 25th) we will be have a birthday coffee in the grad lounge at 10:00. Take a break from your morning work and join us for some tasty treats and celebrate grad student birthdays. Although having baked goods and delicious coffee is a fabulous addition to your thursday that is just the warm up act ;) As many of you know (or should know!) this thursday the Canadian women's hockey team is playing the USA for Olympic GOLD! We will be watching the game in room 134 at 5:30 on the big screen and getting into the Olympic spirit. We will meet in the grad lounge at 4:30 for some food (provided by PSGSA) and pre-game festivities. Feel free to bring additional nut-free snacks to share :) Hope to see you all there!!!! OF RUPERTSLAND AGRICULTURE SCHOLARSHIP will provide support to a graduate student doing research in methods farmers may use to add value to their products before leaving the farm gate. THE W.O.S. MEREDITH FELLOWSHIP FOR BARLEY RESEARCH is intended to extend research in barley science by encouraging and providing support to a student who is conducting graduate research in this field. CANADIAN WHEAT BOARD GRADUATE FELLOWSHIPS Please go to http://www.cwb.ca/public/en/about/scholarships/#Graduate Fellowships for information and applications. Special care should be taken by students to complete section "18. Practical Application" of the application. This will be an important criteria used in determining the successful candidates. In addition, applicants should review the Research Priority Areas as identified by the Canadian Wheat Board Awards Committee. However, students should not hesitate to submit applications for research in other areas of interest to the wheat and barley producers of Western Canada.
