Hi!
We are having our 1st meeting to organize the 28th Annual Plant
Science Graduate Student Symposium TODAY, at 2PM, in room 218. We'll

the tasks (what we have to do).
Any help from you would be appreciated. More specifically, we are
looking for volunteers for these tasks:
- Social events
- Accommodations
- Food
- Symposium itself (abstracts, presentations and judges)
- Bags for participants
- Fundraising
- Communications
Contact me if you want to be involved but can't make it to the meeting.

Hi!
As you may have heard, graduate students in our department (us!) will
be hosting the 28th Annual Plant Science Graduate Student Symposium
this winter! It will be a 2-day conference with Plant Science grad
students from the U of Saskatchewan, North Dakota State University,
the U of Minnesota, and our university.
Sarah Braman and I have been elected to organize the symposium.
However, we need your help! There are plenty of opportunities to get
involved in the organisation of the symposium: plan social events,
help with the fundraising, organize the closing ceremony, organize the
symposium itself, etc.
If you are interested in helping with the organization, please come to
our 1st meeting! The symposium organizing committee (only Sarah and I,
so far) will have its 1st meeting this Thursday, October 27th, at 2pm,
in room 218.
Participate, don't be shy! :) Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Subject: Grad student fridge

_For those of you who use the fridge in the greenhouse area:
_FYI: The fridge door was open this morning and the fridge was warm, its
likely been been open since at least yesterday afternoon. The items
(cream, chocolate milk etc.) were quite warm so a word of caution that
the majority of the things in the fridge may have spoiled.
Hopefully it cools down soon.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Copyright Office encourage you
to attend an information session about copyright.
Graduate students who incorporate a substantial portion of a copyrighted
work or a complete copyrighted work such as a photograph, map, diagram,
figure or journal article into their theses must have permission from
the copyright holder to do so. Adapting a work or modifying a work
requires permission as well. Permission is required whether the
copyrighted material came from the Web, a book, a journal or a
government source. Attend an information session for an overview
on copyright law, fair dealing, when permission is required, how to get
permission, using free resources, and more.
Who would benefit from attending a session?
- Graduate students writing or preparing to write their theses
- Faculty and graduate chairs advising or supervising graduate students
- Staff assisting graduate students with their theses.
