Subject: Graduate Student Coffee Time
Hi All,
The Plant Science Graduate Student Association is looking to start morning coffee times. These will be informal gatherings in the graduate student lunch room. They will happen at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday mornings. We'll make a pot of coffee (or bring your favorite java/tea), and come enjoy your fellow student's company. THIS FRIDAY AT 10:00 a.m. (Nov 14) will be the first coffee time. To start off on the right note there WILL BE SNACKS.
Hope to see you all on Friday!

Hey kids, some actual updates for once.
First as always we'll be going out for drinks this week, this time to Barley Brothers on Pembina.
We'll be going Thursday or Wednesday. If you have preference of one day over the other tell me.
If you have pictures you want put up in the grad lounge send them to me. Otherwise I'm going to fill it up with pictures of myself and Alf.?
Hello all,
PSGSA is hosting our second annual Simpsons and Disney Movie night on Friday, November 21. All grad students are welcome to come and join us for a night of laughter and tears as we reminisce over some of the classic moments from our childhood. Suggestions for Simpsons episodes and movies are welcome. I have suggested the Disney version of Robin Hood but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We will be meeting in the atrium at 4:30-5:00 on the 21st and from there going to Pembina Hall. Drinks and pizza will be available. Please let me know if you'd like to come or if you have any questions.
Don?

Subject: Symposium Planning Committees
Hi All,
As you may of heard, the 31st Annual Plant Sciences Graduate Student Symposium (PSGSS) is happing here at the UofM this year. This gathering of graduate students from UofM, NDSU, and UofS allows us to share our research and network with our peers. I hope that you will all take part in this weekend, joining in the presentations, meals, and events.
Before we can invite everyone to attend, we need to organize the Symposium. We are in the process of forming committees to take on various planning roles for the Symposium. The committees are:
* Food and Banquet Committee
* Social Events & Accommodations Committee
* Bags, SWAG, and Gifts Committee
* Symposium & Communication Committee
* Fundraising & Budget Committee
If you are interested in helping, please talk to me or send an email (ReimerL6(a)myumanitoba.ca<mailto:ReimerL6@myumanitoba.ca>) with what committee(s) you are interested in being a part. Many hands make light work!
I look forward to hearing back from you.
