Registration (through Aurora) will begin in July 2014. Your registration time (ie. the time when the registration period will begin) will be viewable on Aurora on July 7, 2014. If you are taking courses with limited enrollment, I urge you to register as early as possible.
Before you can register, your advisor must approve the courses you will take in Fall 2014 and Winter 2015. The form to obtain this approval is attached.
Please bring completed forms to me.

Hi everyone.
I've asked for the grad student offices to be vacuumed.
I've heard back from caretaking services and they will vacuum either Tuesday or Wednesday.
It would be appreciated if you could get as much of your stuff as you can up off the floors.
Thanks,
Bev

Subject: A few volunteers still needed for Red River Exhibition
There are 9 slots left to fill!!
Volunteer and get free admission to the Red River Ex!
Volunteers are needed to help staff a booth for the Bruce D. Campbell Farm & Food Discovery Centre at the Red River Exhibition. We are looking for volunteers (faculty, staff and students) to assist FFDC staff with answering questions from the public, handing out leaflets and helping with activities.
The Ex runs from June 13 to 22, and is open from 12 noon to 9 pm (3 pm to 9 pm on Monday to Wednesday). The booth will be promoting the Discovery Centre to the general public - no special knowledge is required.
Volunteers will get entrance passes and parking, so this a great chance to get in free!
To volunteer, contact Guy Robbins at guy.robbins(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:guy.robbins@umanitoba.ca> or 204-883-2524 with the days (including alternate days) you would like to do and whether you can do afternoons and/or evenings plus a telephone number for contact. Slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
Your help is greatly appreciated!
(Please share this with students in your area)
Once again I have moderately important news.
As always we are going out for drinks this Thursday at 4:30, and this time we'll be going to Tony Roma's.
We are going to be posting pictures of students in the Grad Lounge. We'll print them out and post them for you. So if you have a picture you would like hung up send them to me and Val.
Val's Email: lobossuv(a)myumanitoba.ca
My Email: umlinski(a)myumanitoba.ca
Guidelines for Pictures:
1) Pictures must be related to plant science.
2) Group photos of grad students and photos of you winning an award are highly encouraged.
This will be an ongoing thing, if at any time you take a picture that you'd like posted send it to us and we'll eventually try and get it up.
