Hello Dr. Daayf,
I wanted to send some information along with regards to the upcoming Agricultural BioScience International Conference (ABIC<http://abic2016.com>) to be held in Fargo, ND Sept 19-21, 2016.
Please see the email below regarding the upcoming ABIC event in Fargo. The organizers there have extended a much reduced registration costs for students to participate. I wonder if you might forward on to the faculty for their consideration.
We want to be sure that there is a strong Manitoba presence at the event. Just as an aside, ABIC will be in Winnipeg in 2017 and Karin W. is a part of the steering committee.
Our organization has chartered a bus to transport the MB delegation to Fargo and we have secured a block of rooms at the event hotel as well.
Please let me know if you have any questions or comments.
Have a terrific weekend.

Hi Everyone, please read the following important information carefully, see the link below to the application form available for this call for award applications.
For this year we have combined most of the awards on one application form and made the form fillable on line. You must indicate which award/s you are applying for by marking the corresponding tick box for the award/s you would like to be considered for.
Please carefully follow the criteria for the award as per the instructions with the award, paying close attention to the GPA standard, year in the program and other criteria listed that may limit your eligibility. If you omit any information we will not be contacting you for the missing information. Please be thorough and include all the requested information, incomplete applications will not be considered.
Please read the application form and award information carefully and in its entirety before calling for assistance. Note that it is difficult and extremely time consuming to answer e-mailed questions about the awards so we ask that you do your best to follow the written instructions. I will be available during the work day the week of August 15th for drop-ins to answer any questions or to take your telephone inquiries about these awards, and after that by appointment. Please do not send awards questions to the application submission e-mail.
Application deadline for all awards for this call for applications is September 8th, 2016 by 4:00 pm.
Link to the award application site, note there are two application forms, one is specifically set up for the Nature Manitoba Award, the other to be used for all other Departmental Awards available at this time. Note that Financial Aids and Awards have not confirmed the award amounts for this period, the information on the website contains last year's amounts.
