Hello fellow grad students,
This is to make you aware that the open computer lab (room 137 agriculture building) is now open during normal building hours. A misunderstanding in May had caused that room to remain locked until now. Please be respectful when using the computers in this room.
Thank you,

Hello fellow grad students!
I wanted all plant science grad students to be aware of a fun activity! This weekend is the Manitoba Stampede and Exhibition<http://manitobastampede.ca><http://www.manitobastampede.com> in Morris, MB!!! This is your chance to experience a part of the history that founded the North American western frontier!
The feature event is Manitoba's ONLY pro rodeo! Show times for the rodeo are Friday @ 7pm and, Saturday and Sunday @ 2pm. On Saturday and Sunday, there will also be chuckwagon and chariot races after the rodeo! Gate admission is FREE this year, and rodeo tickets are 20$. There are many entertainment options, including a midway (rides and games), horse shows and demonstrations, a trade show, texas hold-em tournament, and beer garden.
I have been working the Rodeo for over 10 years, and I can say this year is going to be a great show! There are lots of entries for every event, and all these performers are elite athletes in their sport. So if you are looking for a fun outing, and experience a little bit of western history, bring your friends and come down to Morris, Mb<https://goo.gl/maps/zMaoV4yTecT2> for the Stampede! It's only a 40 minute drive south on highway 75 (Pembina) from the south perimeter.
Hope to see you there!

Subject: PLEASE NOTIFY STUDENTS Field gates
Hi Everyone,
In an effort to keep unauthorized vehicles and individuals out of our crop land and to keep it simple for your and your students to gain access we have set up "gates" at the entrance to each field road.
Simply unhook one end and move chain out of the way and drive in, once inside close the chain. If you have a larger piece of equipment, the supporting posts can be moved aside.
Policy is: if you open the gate you close the gate immediately after driving through. Even if you know a buddy will be arriving shortly behind you, if your buddy sees the gate open (s)he will not feel obliged to close it. And we have found folks don't always leave by the gate they entered. So, gates are to remain closed at all times, please.
Murry is working on getting each of the access points closed off and for now we have the gate on the west side by TGAS, which should remain closed at all times (I have found it open on more than one occasion), and this new gate.
More to come. Thanks for your patience and anticipated cooperation.
Cheers, t.

Hi Yang,
Could you please send the following posters around to the graduate students again? Someone told me that they didn’t actually receive the posters as attachments in their emails, it just showed up as texts.
Thanks
