The Faculty is looking for two graduate students with excellent technical writing skills to be hired as tutors for other graduate students in the Faculty. The job description is attached with this email. Working as writing tutor would involve about 16 hours of initial training (which is paid) and then 2 hours / week of tutoring through Fall and Winter. .
It is mandatory that the selected candidates are available to attend all of the following training sessions (which are paid):
* Tuesday, Aug 28, 9:30 - 12:00
* Thursday, August 30, 1:00 - 3:30
* Saturday, September 8, 9:30 - 12:30
* Saturday, September 29, 9:00 - 3:00
Training covers topics such as writing tutor roles, principles and strategies, resources, FIPPA, Accessible Customer Service.

Service Canada will be coming to the U of M's Fort Garry campus to issue Social Insurance Numbers (SIN) to qualifying international students.
Saves you a trip to their office.
Students will be seen on a drop-in basis (first come, first served).
We anticipate that waiting times could be long and we cannot guarantee that all students will be able to receive their Social Insurance Numbers on September 5th and September 6th.
Students coming to the SIN card sessions must bring the following documents:

* U of M student card
* Original Study Permit issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) that states the permit holder "may accept employment" or "may work" in Canada.
