Dear Fellow Graduate Students,
PSGSA current executive committee would like to welcome all new and returning graduate students to this Fall term. This is the time of year we elect and hand responsibility to new executive committee.
The election event will be held on September 20th Thursday 11.30 AM-12.30 PM on 218 Agriculture (seminar room). Everyone is highly encouraged to come to this event, run or vote for position. There will be pizza lunch from 11.30 AM to noon, election activities from noon-12.30 PM followed by new and current executive combined meeting till 1PM.
PSGSA is student run organisation responsible for organising various social and professional activities in interests of plant science grad students at UfM. PSGSA also represent grad students in University and departments. PSGSA take part in plant science symposium and other academic activities both internally and externally.
Everyone is highly encouraged to join committee and run for position of your interest. This will be very good opportunity to make networking and develop leadership skills. In spite of hectic grad schedule, taking part in PSGSA committee would definitely worth! There are multiple position in PSGSA committee. Please find attached document for details of position and responsibility.
If you are interested in running for position, please present yourself at election. If you can not come to event but wish to run for position, please send me your desired position via email (neupanea(a)myumanitoba.ca) prior to Sept 20th.
