Hello Plant Science Undergraduate and Graduate students:
On behalf of the Faculty’s Plant Science Head Search Committee, you are invited to a special undergraduate and graduate student meeting with the candidate, Dr. Fouad Daayf, who is applying for the position of head in your department. This meeting is scheduled for Friday, December 4th from 2-2:30pm. This is an opportunity to have a casual conversation and raise any student related questions with Dr. Daayf. You may be aware of receiving a separate invitation yesterday from Mya Kraft to attend his public presentation/faculty-wide meet and greet happening on December 3rd. Our invitation is for a separate student meeting; however, you are encouraged to attend both meetings if you can make them work during this busy time.
During the student meetings, Uzzal Ahmed Liton and Ginny Grenier will be the host moderators. If you have a question, please raise your hand (using the special icon) and we will try and attend to your questions as they come in. If you are not comfortable asking your question openly, you can type your question into the chat box. We will be monitoring this also.
The Search Committee would be pleased to receive any written feedback that you might wish to provide following these meetings. This confidential feedback should be sent directly to Mya Kraft, support to the Faculty’s Search Committee for Plant Science Department Head, by email to mya.kraft(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:mya.kraft@umanitoba.ca> no later than Friday, December 11th at noon. All input is treated in strict confidence and is shared with the Head Search Committee. Anonymous feedback will not be accepted.
