Reverse Osmosis water will not be available at this time. Users are asked to store water in advance if required. Domestic hot and cold water will not be affected. Could you please circulate this email to everybody. I found the -20 Biobar freezer unplugged this morning. Everything inside has been completely gone costing thousands dollars. I have no idea who did this but this is a serious issue. 4 degree bio bar fridge is working but I don't know who unplugged -20 freezer. I only get notification about the connectivity on my email (means the computer tab is connected with the freezer) but it will not signify that the freezer has been unplugged. .Please let everybody know everything is gone and do not order anything from -20 freezer bio bar. Hello Plant Science Graduate Students, Just a reminder that if students are interested in joining UMFA..... This Friday there is a rally at the Legislature to Fight for the Future of Manitoba. The aim is with students, other unions, and campaigns to protect the public, to send a clear message to the provincial government. The rally will begin at 12 Noon at the Legislature and conclude with a march. Climate Action Committee Grad Student Representatives

Good afternoon everyone, After the Plant Science department council meeting, the department has moved forward to establish a Climate Action Committee to help conceptualize and recommend "net-zero" for our department's field-related research based programs and research travel. If the committee is successful in establishing a carbon neutral plan, the Department of Plant Science could become one of the first net-zero departments at the University of Manitoba. The Climate Action Committee is currently looking for two graduate students to join this meaningful committee to help build towards a greener future for our department and ultimately, our planet. Meetings will only be held every month/every other month, so the time requirement for being a part of the committee will not be overwhelming. Please let either Hao or Sam know if you wish to join this committee ASAP.
