Registration for PSGSS, which is taking place on March 15 and 16 at the University of Saskatchewan, is closing on February 1st, which is less than a week away, so if you would like to attend, please register!
Note also that if you would like to present, you must both register AND submit an abstract, which can be done under the "Abstracts and Presentation" tab on the website, which I've included below. This way we can officially add you to the schedule. Abstracts are due February 16th.
If you have registered and are needing a hotel, please book it as soon as possible. There is a block at the Holiday Inn near campus, but rooms are limited, and you are not guaranteed a room if they sell out. Please book using the link found under the "Accommodations" tab on the website below.

Please share the bellow SCAC 2024 Graduate Student Research Video Competition information below with graduate students in your departments. This is a great opportunity for graduate students to share their research with national and international audiences and to develop communication skills that will be important during their careers. Research results can be included but are not required. A suggestion can be to also discuss the opportunity during seminar courses within your departments. Deadline for submitting a contest registration form is January 29th. Registration forms can be filled out on the conference website. Link is below.

[A video conference cover with a camera]Current graduate students (MSc or PhD candidates) in agriculture are invited to take part in a 3-minute video competition taking place in conjunction with the Sustainability of Canadian Agriculture Conference, March 12-14, 2024.
Pitch your research project in a three-minute, pre-recorded video, telling us about your research and how it might benefit farmers and the sustainability of Canadian agriculture!
Research results can be included but are not required
Entries will be showcased on the conference website and promoted during the conference. Select entries will be chosen for special video showing/Q & A session during the conference. Those students whose video will be featured during the conference are required to take part in a live Q & A session following the video showings.

January 18 Video contest opens! Entry forms available on the Conference website

January 29 Last day (6:30CT) to submit contest entry forms indicating your intention to submit a
3- minute video.
February 1 Entry forms are reviewed and contest participants are identified and contacted. Contest details and video criteria are available on the conference website.
March 1 Deadline for submitting video entries for the contest (6:30 pm CST).
March 6 Students are notified of video showing and the live Q and A dates.
March 12-14 Student video competition and Q and A session(s). Students must be present at their assigned sessions for video showings and for the live Q and A.
March 14 Competition winners are announced during final comments segment of the conference.
