The Department of Economics at Saint Mary's University invites applications for a tenure track appointment at the Assistant Professor rank. Fields of interest include applied microeconomics, applied macroeconomics, economic development, and international trade and finance. Candidates with a demonstrated record in public policy-oriented research and teaching in these fields are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have completed, or be near completion of, a PhD in economics, and have excellent qualifications for research and teaching in our graduate and undergraduate programs. The appointment will commence July 1, 2014.
Saint Mary's is a public university with over 7,000 students, offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Our university is committed to serving the local, regional, national and international communities, and integrating such activity as part of the learning environment for undergraduate and graduate students. The Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary's University is a balanced teaching/research Faculty and is the largest business program in the Atlantic provinces. The Sobey School of Business offers AACSB accredited degrees at the undergraduate, masters and PhD levels. The Department of Economics consists of 12 full-time faculty members who deliver core courses to the Undergraduate and Graduate programs in the Sobey School of Business.
