Dear Colleague,
On Thursday, February 23, COMSOL will give a free webinar on "Automating Preprocessing and Postprocessing with the Application Builder." Details and registration are available below.
With the Application Builder, you can transform your COMSOL Multiphysics® models into custom simulation apps that colleagues can access through a local installation of the COMSOL Server™ software. The Application Builder contains tools to easily build graphical user interfaces and methods with little programming effort. You can leverage these features to automate model building and postprocessing, even when you do not intend to build and distribute apps. In this presentation, you will get a live demonstration of how to use Application Builder features to quickly program methods to read a data file and automatically build a COMSOL® geometry. Such functionality comes in handy when your data contains a large number of objects. When done manually, this process can be time consuming and error prone. We will also discuss how to program methods to export results in a custom format. Ask questions throughout the webinar or at the end during the Q&A session.
Live Presentation - Thursday, February 23, 2017 2:00 p.m. EST.

Dear Colleague,
Today, February 2, COMSOL will give a free webinar on "Modeling Packed Bed Reactors in COMSOL Multiphysics®." Details and registration are available below.
In this webinar, we will discuss a numerical approach to describing the catalytic reactions in bimodal porous structures, which are simple to define and can be solved with a minimum number of approximations for complex reaction kinetic expressions. This method also considers the time-dependent behavior of both the transport processes and reaction kinetics within the microporous structure.
You will get a live demonstration of how to use this approach to modeling packed bed reactors in the COMSOL® software. Feel free to ask questions throughout the event or during the Q&A session at the end.
