Dear friends,
some questions:
1) the length of the string in the generated .sps file is always 3 times the definition of the length of the string in Manager.
for example: VL3 27-35(A) S1 145-204(A) in .sps
but the length of S1 is 20 and that of VL3 is 3 in sample.v2.epx
2) How do I use the mssing values defined in Valuelabel Editor to set the missing values of the variables in SPSS?
3) Can I define the values of boolean type variables as 1 or 0?
Thanks for your help advance!

I use EpiData 3.1. In one of my projects I encountered a strange problem:
The qes file contains 78 variables in total. Among them there are about 50 Y/N(1/0) variables. When I enter data into the rec file by EpiData and enter a series of "N"(0) for these Y/N variables ,the EpiData begins producing a prompting frame showing : "Access violation at addrss 00000000. Read of address 00000000." I have to hit the "OK" button repeatedly to make the prompting frames disappear. After they disappear, the program in chk file seems having stopped working. How can I enter my data normally?
Dear List.
Today we have released new test version of Manager and EntryClient.
This is a minor update on the release from last week, where we
identified and fixed a small number of issues.
We have had no comment on the new .lock file system during the week and
if no further issues
arise in the comming week we intend to release these version as the next
stable release.
The changes for this test release are:
Both:
* A text change during save and the .lock file is missing.
* Fixed a bug related to non-ASCII characters in filename/path
EpiData Manager:
* Added a delimiter option to SPSS Export.
* Changed naming of exports/double entry/backup to include current cycle
number.
* "Count-by-id" report updated to work on fields with same name, but
different types.
* Spelling corrections.
The download is available from: http://epidata.dk/testing.php
