I have tried to run the syntax after removing the * mark before the save command and repeatedly find error reports.

Dear Seng Aung,
-You can directly export to SPSS. But the dataset gets saved as SYNTAX file
with an extension of " .sps"
- Then open this syntax file in SPSS (using open-syntax in menu bar) , you
will get a list commands/syntax. Read the instructions at the top of that
page. You have to go to the last command/syntax SAVE and remove the * mark
to execute the SAVE command. After removing the * mark, just click the RUN
in the menubar (RUN all) and your SPSS dataset (.sav file) is ready with
labels and label values.
-I checked with the EpiData manager and it is working.

Hello all.
I have a small constraint in my chk file and I wonder how I could program
it.
I have 8 options (8 variables V1 - V8). Interviewers are asked to chose
their top 3 options. So that the legal values are 1, 2, 3 and there must
not be the same value twice. I dont know how to write short instructions to
check that.

I use EpiData3.1 because I have used to the qes/chk/rec model. Now I encountered a strange problem as follow:My problem: In my project there are a series of y/n variables (0: no 1: yes 9:unkown) with default value 0.
