Hillel/JSA Reminder Tomorrow, Wednesday October 27th, Dina Gidron, the Regional Director of the Israel Aliyah Centre, is coming to Winnipeg. Anyone who is interested in Israel, birthright programming, and aliyah should attend. We will have refreshments available and talk with her at 7:30 pm. Location is Asper Campus. Hillel/JSA Updates: 1) Israel Aliyah Centre On Thursday October 27th, Sina Gidron, the Regional Director of the Israel Aliyah Centre, is coming to Winnipeg. Anyone who is interested in Israel, birthright programming, and aliyah should attend. We will have a coffee and talk with her at 7:30 pm. Location is TBA. 2) Israel Advocacy Training Arieh Rosenblum, director of Israel Affairs for National Jewish Campus Life, is coming in on November 8th. He will be doing Israel Advocacy training with the students. More info will be forthcoming. Hillel/JSA Executive Board

Hello everyone, We got some exciting news for you! How would you like to meet Paul Martin, Stephen Harper and Gilles Dusiepe in Ottawa for a cost of ONLY $90? This political conference in Ottawa will be from October 31st till November 1st done through the United Jewish Appeal. So if you are interested in representing Winnipeg at the conference, please send me an email ASAP at gadig(a)shaw.ca. The fee of $90 includes stay and airfare. New Hillel/JSA Program Coordinator First and foremost, we would like to give a warm welcome to your new Hillel/JSA Program Coordinator Jodi Hoffman. It is going to be a great year full of events. Welcome Aboard Jodi! 2. Hillel/JSA Bowling Night Are you feeling stressed out? Do you wish exams were over already? If you are one of these people -or not- we would like to invite you to join the Hillel/JSA for and "End of Midterms" party. It will take place at Academy Bowling Lanes (394 Academy Road) on Monday, November 1st from 9:30 to 11:30 pm. It is an "All-You-Can-Bowl" night for around $9.00. We would like each and every one of you to bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to foodbanks at both U of M and U of W. [Hillel/JSA] Car Rally Event - Reminder

Hello Everyone, If you still haven't found something to do on Thanksgiving weekend we have the plan for you. You can join us this coming Saturday October 9th for an exciting evening at the University of Manitoba where the Car Rally across the city begins. Read below for more information. When: Saturday October 9th @ 8:30 PM until around 11:30 PM Where: The Pit (Across Tim Horton's) University Centre at the University of Manitoba (see attachment for directions) Sign up: Send an email with your name and phone number to Leandro @ Leandro(a)shaw.ca Registration ends: Thursday October 7th at 11 PM Includes: Food for everyone and prizes for the winners Ends: We will finish back at University Centre where will head up to "Wiseguys on Campus".
