nested RELATES?

I'm using Epidata 3.1 on Windows 7. Can RELATES be nested? By that I mean, can data entry form A relate one-to-many with data entry form B, and some of the records in B relate one-to-one to data entry forms C? Specifically, I have a qes/rec/chk setup for households. within households, there will be several people, each of whose data is entered in qes/rec/chk B some (not all) of the people will have asthma. For the asthmatics, I want to, conditional on their asthma status, jump to a third qes/rec/chk setup for data on the asthmatics. XML error while exporting

Hello, I have encountered a problem with exporting an Epidata file ending epx. When trying to export, I receive the following message and the export won't go through: Project has incorrect XML version! Max supported XML Version: 3 Project XML Version: 4 Does anyone have a solution for this problem? I have downloaded the latest version of Epidata Manager on my MAC. Issues when exporting into Stata 13

Hi - two things that I've become aware of when exporting data into Stata 13 using EpiData Manager:- 1) My interview dates have all had 60 years added to them, so instead of my interviews being recorded as taking place in 2016 they are recorded as happening in 2076. The day and month are correct. 2) I've exported my value labels, but only the first letter of these is displaying in the browse mode in Stata (though if I tabulate a variable the value labels do show in full in the table). Is there any way of correcting these problems from within EpiData, rather than from within Stata? Thanks Keith

EpiData Manager closing without warning when trying to set up double-data entry

Hi - has anyone else run into this problem? I have created a project in EpiData Manager, and have created a duplicate project for double data-entry using Tools>Prepare Double Entry. I have entered some data into the duplicate project and now I want to compare the two. I open EpiData Manager again, open my first project, and then go to Document>Compare Duplicate Files. I get the double-entry validation screen from which I use the 'Add Files' button to add my second project. But before I can even do that EpiData Manager closes without warning. I have tried rebooting my computer, reinstalling epidata manager and removing the password which I had put on the original project, but nothing seems to solve this problem. Before setting up the duplicate project I did move the original project to a new location and rename it. I wonder if this could, somehow, be part of the problem? Any help very gratefully received, as we are planning to introduce the new version of EpiData for teaching this year. Dear Konan Diby, Currently Epidata is meant for desktop and not mobile, I stand for correction.However there are various version of other software which are free you can use for your data collection. CSpro and Epiinfo are some public software you can use for free and they have mobile platform. Hope this information, will be useful to you. SAS export

Hi all, I have a problem with SAS export in Epidata manager (v2.0.8.56). The SAS program generated by the software is unable to read the CSV file created. In other words, the program is written to import fixed column file and The CSV is comma separated. Has anybody a solution to fix the problem? EpiData question / help

HI I am accustomed to using JUMP when the 'jump to' questions are the next (consecutive) questions. IS there a way to use JUMP or something else to 'jump to' a future question ? For example, here is the order of the questions : Q1 Age Q2 Status 1=Self 2=Other Q3 Gender 1=Female 2=Male Q4 Systolic blood pressure Q5 Diastolic blood pressure Q6 Height Q7 Weight JUMP if Q2=1 then Jump to Q4 (the order Q2, Q3, Q4) if Q2=2 then Jump to Q6 (the order Q2, Q3, Q6) Thank you.
