Hello, SPSS exports your data base towards Stata or DBASE by Using Stat Transfert. Then your data base in Epidata imports. Veiled what it is necessary to do. But I do not understand well that is what you want to do thereafter. I have a ready SPSS-file (which is awaiting the app.5000 questionnaires of 220 questions each) and want the database to be built up using Epidata in order to reduce errors. Does any of you know if (and how) Epidata can read this SPSS-file? Enter specific house number in the House number field. 3. Press F3 key. That displays the list of previously entered records with the same house number. Hence specific record could be located for editing purpose. Epidata does not have that option at present. Please explore the possibity of incorporating similar option in the Epidata also. This option ia really helpful in large population databases. Once again thanks for this wonderful and stable freeware. Please convey my best wishes to Epidata team. Greetings. What happens if you have more than 1 need of the INI file? Suppose you have a 'system' for PMTCT with INI needs and a VCT system with different INI needs and etc. Would one create subfolders under Program files with different names for the .EXE and .INI files? Would not be a problem if on a single USER system but, what about the SYS administrator of several systems? The (micrososft) recommended procedure is to put the executable in program file and only executable (wich include dll's) and all other data in the "documents and settings" folder. This mean that INI file wich is a setting file should also be in this folder. But if everybody agree whit that, I suppose that the program should be modified. Lost information

Hi, Recently, we have lost part of information in the data entry file that we've entered earlier, and I'm wondering if someone else have experienced similar problems. Recently, our data entry staff found that information she had entered the other day disappeared from the file, mainly the ID variable two other variables next to it. The strange thing is that not all of the cases lost the information. Only about one-third of cases lost this information. We're investigating how this happened, and before concluding it might be results of human errors, I'd like to check if this kind of accident has happened to someone else. We're using EpiData 2.01 version. Thank you, Jin
