The following award opportunity is waiting for you!
The Alumni Association Inc. of the University of Manitoba offers two annual
scholarships for students who have excelled in their studies and have
demonstrated leadership and/or commitment to voluntarism during the course
of their academic career.
Two scholarships valued at $3,750 each will be offered to undergraduate
students who:
(1) have successfully completed the second year of full-time study at the
University of Manitoba (minimum of 48 credit hours), in any faculty or
school;
(2) will be in the next ensuing academic session (2010/11), enrolled
full-time (minimum 60% course load) in the third year of study in any
faculty or school;
(3) have achieved a minimum degree grade point average of 3.0 or, as
students in the Undergraduate Medical Education Program, are in good
academic standing;
(4) have demonstrated strong leadership abilities and/or a strong commitment
to community through their volunteer activities.
The application deadline has been extended to July 30, 2010. If you are

Dear all U of M students,
As you may be aware, when you graduate from a post-secondary institution and
live and work in Manitoba you are eligible for a rebate on tuition paid
after December 31, 2003. Manitoba Finance and the Canada Revenue Agency
require the University of Manitoba to send your T2202A tax receipt
information to them each year to verify your eligibility for this rebate.
Your consent is required for the University of Manitoba to begin submitting
this information on your behalf. Consent is required only once. T2202A
information for 2010 will be sent in early 2011.
To provide your consent, log into Aurora Student and go to Enrolment &
Academic Records |Declarations | Declare Consent for Release of T2202A Tax
Receipt Information. Read the information carefully and either consent or
decline to have your information sent to Manitoba Finance and the Canada
Revenue Agency in support of the tuition tax credit. If you choose to
decline, your T2202A receipt information will not be forwarded to Manitoba
Finance and the Canada Revenue Agency.
If you do not respond by June 30, 2010 you will be required to do so the
next time you log in to register or to access your grades. The Hold that
prevents you from registering or viewing grades will be removed immediately
after you respond and you may proceed immediately without further delay.
i.e. you will not have to log again.
