I would like to remind you that the latest in the series of President’s Town Halls will take place tomorrow, March 1, at 10:00 a.m. in the Manitoba Room (220/224) of University Centre. These events are an opportunity for members of the University of Manitoba community to hear from each other about the issues we face together, and I always look forward to this dialogue.
Recognizing that some of you have class or other commitments that may prevent you from attending in person, after the Town Hall we will prepare a summary of the proceedings, including the questions and answers, and post it on the University of Manitoba website. You are welcome to send your questions in advance to president(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:president@umanitoba.ca> and I will address as many of these advance questions as possible during the Town Hall.

An individual was arrested by the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) today in Armes Building for having uttered threats in a Machray Hall office area. The arrest took place without incident and WPS has made it clear that at no time was the university community in danger. The accused was released on conditions that she not attend any University of Manitoba properties.
The university is unable to provide further information as this is now a WPS matter.
