Exposure location and date: * Investor’s Group Athletic Centre, 75 Sidney Smith Street – April 5 Health officials have indicated this is a single exposure event, not an outbreak. If you were in this location on the listed date, please follow the guidance provided by Manitoba Public Health<https://www.gov.mb.ca/health/publichealth/diseases/measles-exposures.html#e…>. Individuals who develop symptoms are advised to isolate at home and contact their health-care provider. If you become ill or need to isolate and will be absent from the university, please speak with your instructor. Good afternoon, The application for the University of Manitoba Fellows in Equity, Anti-Oppression and Social Justice Cohort 4 will be accepted from April 14, 2026. The deadline for applications is May 8, 2026. The University of Manitoba Fellows in Equity, Anti-Oppression and Social Justice<https://umanitoba.ca/equity-transformation/office/fellows> is a flagship program of the Office of Equity Transformation. The program is structured to ensure student voices, vision and experiences are valued and are embedded into initiatives for social justice, equity, accessibility and anti-oppression at the University of Manitoba. The Program provides students from diverse backgrounds with 9-month paid fellowships that are focused on: (a) learning and mentorship for institutional change, and (b) participation in projects that advance social justice, equity and accessibility at the University of Manitoba. This initiative supports UM's commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive environment-one where everyone feels a sense of belonging and can thrive as their authentic selves. It also fulfills the recommendations of the President's Task Force on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion<https://umanitoba.ca/about-um/equity-diversity-inclusion/task-force-final-r…>. UM is committed to strengthening the collection of demographic, self-identification data from students, staff, and faculty, such as Indigeneity, gender, racialized identities, religions and spiritualities, sexualities, and disabilities and chronic health conditions. This data helps UM better understand who we serve and is essential for identifying and addressing inequities. UM Demographic Census data will inform the development of targeted programs, services, and policies that support our community and enable us to track progress toward the equity and inclusion goals we have set.
