JUNE 2026 Final Exam Period approaching The June 2026 Final Exam period runs from June 15 - 19, 2026. The complete exam schedule can be found on the Final Exam Schedule webpage<https://umanitoba.ca/registrar/final-exams/final-exam-schedule>, and your personal exam schedule is available on your My Exams Card in Aurora<https://aurora.umanitoba.ca/banprod/twbkwbis.P_WWWLogin>. Please make sure to confirm your exam date, time, location, and format. NOTE: If you are registered in May - August or July - August courses that have a final exam, the August 2026 exam schedule is expected to be posted approximately four weeks prior to the final exam period of August 10-15, 2026. Plan your arrival: Make sure you have a plan to get to campus early in case transport does not go as planned. Check out the classroom in which your exam is taking place in advance! 2. Download the UM Safe App<https://news.umanitoba.ca/enhance-your-safety-on-campus-with-the-um-safe-ap…>: a direct link to Campus Security Services for any emergencies that may arise. 3. Supplies: Ensure you have the necessary writing utensils and some extras! Students must ensure that all items required for the examination are placed on top of the desk prior to the start of the examination. 4. Attendance & identification: Students must display their UM student ID card or government issued photo identification (such as a passport or driver's license) and are required to sign an attendance form. 5. Arriving late: * Students who arrive more than 30 minutes after the start of the examination will not be permitted to write the examination. * Students who arrive less than 30 minutes late, will be permitted to write the examination, but must stop writing at the end of the scheduled exam time. * Students are not permitted to enter the examination room after at least one other student who is writing the same examination has left the examination room. * If you are late and not permitted to write an examination, you will be asked to complete the appropriate form by an invigilator and will then be advised to contact the Office of your Dean or Director no later than the next business day to discuss possible alternatives. 1. Illness/ emergency during your exam: If you become ill during the course of an examination and are unable to continue, you must report at once to the Head Invigilator, hand in the examination, and indicate either that you wish to submit your examination paper as: (1) completed; or (2) not completed and with the intention to request a deferred examination. Medical or supporting documentation will likely be required for your deferral request. 2. Leaving the exam: * Students are not permitted to leave the examination room during the first thirty (30) minutes of an examination. * Students are not permitted to re-enter an examination room until all examination scripts have been collected. ________________________________ Unauthorized materials in exams Students are not permitted to access any unauthorized materials during an examination. This includes but is not limited to calculators, books, notes, pencil cases, or any electronic device capable of wireless communication and/or storing information. However, students may bring in such materials or devices when permission has been given by the instructor. Students may store valuables and personal items under the desk or chair of the examination room but may not have access to these items during the examination. Items stowed under the desk or chair must not obstruct the aisles of the examination room. Upcoming change to your Microsoft Outlook account: Automatic archiving of email older than two years Dear students, Thank you for your efforts in meeting the M365 data storage limits for students, faculty and staff. As part of our ongoing efforts to manage Microsoft 365 storage responsibly, a change will be made to your Microsoft Outlook account: email messages older than two years will be automatically archived. This will include Shared Mailboxes. Starting May 28, 2026 emails more than two years old will be moved from your Outlook mailbox to an Online Archive. What this means for you * Archived email – including in shared mailboxes – will remain fully accessible within Outlook in an Online Archive folder. This folder will appear in the regular Outlook navigation pane (on the left-hand side of your screen) as a sub-folder titled Online archive – email address * You will still be able to search, read, reply to, and forward archived messages just as you would any other email. * This change helps keep mailbox sizes manageable while preserving long‑term access to your messages. What you need to know * No action is required on your part. IST will implement this change automatically. * No emails will be deleted. * The only adjustment for users is when searching for older emails. Messages more than two years old will be located in the Online Archive folder rather than your primary mailbox. * The archiving process may take up to six weeks to complete. During this transition, you may need to search both your primary mailbox and the archive folder to locate messages. How to search for archived emails * Classic Outlook users - Your archived emails will be located in the folder named Online archive – UMNetID(a)myumanitoba.ca<mailto:UMNetID@myumanitoba.ca>. To search archived emails, open the Online Archive folder and use the search bar at the top. To search across both your mailbox and online archive, select "All folders” from the drop-down menu in the search bar. In 2027, UM turns 150 and I'm excited to give you an exclusive look at the plans we are making. This is your invitation to be part of the celebration. I also encourage you to take a few minutes to share and submit Your UM Moment when you visit the page! UM150 will offer a year of opportunities to commemorate our history and celebrate where we are headed. We have so many ways Bisons can join in: * a kickoff event just for students, faculty, and staff on February 26, 2027; * a landmark exhibit at the Manitoba Museum; * a supersized Homecoming in September; * an interactive community photo mosaic project; * and a Bisons Give Back program to encourage 150 acts of service. For a century and a half, we have trained the leaders and big thinkers Manitoba needs. Our history of learning, research, and engagement is something to honour, to learn from, and to carry into whatever comes next. There’s much more to come. Potential measles exposure at the University of Manitoba

Exposure location and date: * Investor’s Group Athletic Centre, 75 Sidney Smith Street – April 5 Health officials have indicated this is a single exposure event, not an outbreak. If you were in this location on the listed date, please follow the guidance provided by Manitoba Public Health<https://www.gov.mb.ca/health/publichealth/diseases/measles-exposures.html#e…>. Individuals who develop symptoms are advised to isolate at home and contact their health-care provider. If you become ill or need to isolate and will be absent from the university, please speak with your instructor. This initiative supports UM's commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive environment-one where everyone feels a sense of belonging and can thrive as their authentic selves. Potential measles exposure at the University of Manitoba

Exposure locations and dates: * Helen Glass Centre – February 12 * Max Bell Centre – February 12 and 13 * Active Living Centre – February 12 Health officials have indicated this is an exposure event, not an outbreak. If you were in these locations on the listed dates, please follow the guidance provided by Manitoba Public Health<https://www.gov.mb.ca/health/publichealth/diseases/measles-exposures.html#e…>. Individuals who develop symptoms are advised to isolate at home and contact their health-care provider. If you become ill or need to isolate and will be absent from the university, please speak with your instructor.
