Hey Kristen,
If yourself or any other graduate students are interested we are having a joint conference of the Canadian Society of Agronomy, Canadian Society for Horticulture Science, as well as the Certified Crop Advisers prairie board at the U of S this summer. The North American Fruit Explorers will also be meeting with us. It runs from July 16-19th, 2012.
There is a complimentary barbeque planned for the visiting students organized by the Dept. Plant Sciences grad student executive on the Tuesday July 17, 2012 (see the website under "Program", "Student Activities"). Any other student activities should be put onto that part of the website. Right now, only the barbeque is listed.
