Hi Councillors,
The provincial office of the Canadian Federation of Students is coordinating a gathering of international students this Sunday, November 12. The gathering will begin at 9am at the University of Manitoba.
The morning will have a session on issues facing international students in Manitoba, and a focused session on myths and facts on international students' fees. Lunch will be provided (and I'm told there will be a soccr match over the lunch break!), and the afternoon will see an overview on students' rights in Canada and time to develop a campaign plan for working to end differential fees in Manitoba and to achieve equality for international students.
We have registation forms in the GSA office, if you or anyone you know is interested in attending please either email me (pres@umgsa.ca) or drop by the office. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, Novemeber 8.
Please circulate this to anyone who may be interested!
Thanks,
Meghan
