Further to my email sent August 19^th regarding the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship -- Second Round of Competition 2009-2010, all students who applied for the First Round of the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship Competition (February 2009) and were unsuccessful may update their applications and resubmit them for evaluation (provided they are still eligible) for the Second Round Competition.

Subject: University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship -- Second Round of Competition for 2009-2010
This is the official notice of the Second Competition of the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowships in the Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences. As previously discussed in a Memo from Dr. Neil Holliday (sent by Dr. Merv Pritchard on December 22^nd , 2008 and also attached to this email), this is the second and final UMGF competition the Faculty will be holding for the 2009-2010 year (not to be confused with the new competition for 2010-2011 later on this academic year). As a reminder, eligible students for second competition will be:
. Students who have applied for admission to a graduate program within FAFS with first enrolment date of January 2010.
. Students already enrolled in FAFS graduate programs who satisfy FGS criteria (GPA > 3.75 in the last 60 credit hours, and holding the award within the first 24 months of a Master's program or first 48 months of a Ph.D. program).
. Students who applied for the February competition, but were not successful will be considered again in the September competition, if they are still eligible.
Enclosed please find an electronic copy of the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship Application Form. Deadline for receipt of UMGF applications to the Departments has been set for September 15^th , 2009. Departmental Ranking Guidelines and Ranking Sheet will be sent out to the Departments in early September.
