Subject: Aluminum cart from 339
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The aluminum lab cart from the Cytogenetics lab, room 339, is missing.
My name, the word "Cytogenetics", and the room number are written in Sharpie pen on the top shelf of the cart. If you have this cart, please return it to room 339.

Forwarded on behalf of Dr. Gulden:
PLNT 7340 Advanced Weed Science will be offered this fall term. Any interested students should contact Rob.Gulden(a)umanitoba.ca<mailto:Rob.Gulden@umanitoba.ca>
The course will focus on weed science and the statistical methods used in this and related areas of study. There is an opportunity to cater the content to specific student interests.
We will meet in mid-September to finalize the topics and set the class schedule (1 meeting per week).
Thanks,
Rob

Subject: Sweatlodge date.
All,
I have been in contact with Ed Azure and he has gratefully offered to lead a sweatlodge for the department. He has suggested a Saturday in September. If you are interested, please respond by Sept 8th and let me know if September 11, 18 or 25 is best. If there is a large enough response we may have to schedule two, so put down all of your preferences. Once I have your responses I will set it up with Ed.
Thank you,

Hello everyone,
School is fast approaching, and so we have a couple events popping up!
First, we are having a BBQ at Kings Park on Wednesday, September 8 at 4:30 pm for grad students! It's a great chance to meet everyone in person and kick the year off - there will be vegetarian options available. Please bring a lawn chair!
On Monday, September 13 we will be having a virtual townhall for students - everyone is encouraged to come as we are going to welcome the new students, discuss the upcoming elections, and share new COVID changes. The link will be sent closer to the date.
Also, we will be doing a tour of campus on Wednesday, September 15 at 10:00 am. If interested, please email wilson44(a)myumanitoba.ca.
See you in Fall,
PSGSA Team

Good morning,
From the U of M COVID update site:
UM community members should continue to follow UM’s current masking and social distancing protocols when on campus. As a reminder, the wearing of 3-ply reusable or disposable masks is mandatory for all activities on all UM campuses. This applies when indoors at all times on UM campuses even when physical distancing is possible. A 3-ply mask is also required when outdoors on UM campuses or while participating in UM-sanctioned activities off-campus at any time when two metres distancing is not possible.
Thanks,
Bev
